Epcot Center

Epcot Center was the place where we spent the least amount of time ~ simply because we ran out of time. However, we did find time to ride in Spaceship Earth, see Nemo, ride the GM test track, and throw lots of Grandpa's money into the water.

Tyler was fascinated with the water & threw all of Grandpa's coins in the water.

Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios was awesome ~ I will let the pictures explain our fun.

Tyler enjoyed meeting all of the characters ~ including Mickey Mouse, Pooh, & Tigger
We enjoyed a 3D muppet show.

My sisters & I by the American Idol Stage ~ they were having auditions the day we were there.

The best part of Tyler's Day was seeing Mc Queen & Tow Mater ~ we had to wait in a very long line to see them, but it was well worth it.
We also enjoyed an Indiana Jones show, an Extreme Power Show, a few rides, and much more.

Florida Fun

Florida was wonderful and we are missing the warm weather. We had a great time spending the week with my family ~ something we don't get to do very often since they live 4 hours away. We enjoyed Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdon, Hollywood Studios, & Sea World. Tyler's favorite part of the trip was seeing Mickey Mouse. He insists that we are going to Mickey's house again very soon. :)

Grandpa & Grandma bought Tyler a Mickey Mouse Ball so he has been playing with that ever since we got home. Kevin & I had tons of fun watching Tyler enjoy all the attractions.

I have tons of pictures and am very anxious to scrapbook them. Hope you enjoy!!

Potty Training

As you can see from the title we have started the process of potty training Tyler or "Mommy Training" as I call it. Overall, Tyler has done really well so I hope it continues. He isn't to the point yet to tell me when he has to go potty, but I am training myself to take hime every hour. Tyler has decided that he dislikes diapers and only wants to wear pull ups so at least we are moving in the right direction.

February has been a nice relaxing month. We have all stayed healthy and have been able to spend time together as a family on the weekends. Kevin & I went to Ames for Valentine's Day and enjoyed a day away ~ Tyler had a lot of fun with the babysitter. Last weekend we went to Des Moines to purchase a jogging stroller ( I must admit I am pretty excited to use it this spring/summer) and went to Culver's for dinner ~ Tyler's favorite restaurant.

This weekend will be very busy. New Coop is taking us to Des Moines for the weekend so we are looking forward to that. We also leave for Florida next week so will be busy packing, etc.

I don't have any pictures to post this time, but will be sure to update when we get home from Florida. Tyler is excited to see Mickey Mouse and Kevin & I are excited for warm weather. :)

Honey Creek Lodge

A lot has happend since my last post. Tyler's mouth healed very quickly so we were thankful for that. Kevin & Tyler both had the flu a couple weeks ago, but so far I haven't got it which I am very happy about. I have been keeping very busy at work with all the the claims....winter weather makes for busy days at the office.

This past weekend we went to Honey Creek Lodge with Kevin's family. It was fun spending time together again. Tyler loved the indoor waterpark as you can tell from the pictures below.

All smiles

Tyler's Surgery

Tyler had dental surgery this morning at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Surgery went as planned and and lasted about 90 minutes. Tyler did a great job ~ when it was time to go to the operating room the nurses took him back in a little red wagon & he didn't even cry. Kevin & I were so proud of him. I on the other hand had a little harder time ~ it was very hard to watch him go into the surgery room.

After surgery we were in the recovery room for about 45 minutes. Kevin & I couldn't go back until he was fully awake. We were so thankful that he didn't get sick and we were able to be released rather quickly.

Tyler is doing good for the most part. He is on pain medication and we can tell when it's time for more. Other than that he is drinking, eating, and playing with his toys. His mouth and gums are very swollen, but that should be better by early next week. For the time being he is limited to soft foods so his diet today consisted of Mac & Cheese, Peaches, and Popsicles.

Kevin & I are so thankful that surgery is behind us and everything went well. We thank God for watching over us today and pray that Tyler's mouth continues to heal.

Tyler is about ready for his pain medication again and then I think we are all going to bed. We are exhausted as we left Webster City at 5:00 this morning.

Thanks for all your prayers ~ it is great to have such wonderful family and friends.
